Teachers have lost a year of plans to tools that broke, shut down or held their work hostage. These are the promises we make about yours, and how we keep them.
Backed up every night, kept for 30 days
Every night we take a complete copy of the database, stored apart from the live one, and keep each copy for 30 days. If something goes wrong, we can put your planbooks back the way they were on any night in the last month.
Restores tested every month
A backup nobody has restored is a hope, not a backup. Once a month we restore the latest copy into a fresh database and check it table by table against the live one, and we keep the record of every drill.
Export on every plan, any time
Every planbook exports completely: lessons as Word documents, the weeks as PDFs, a spreadsheet, your attached files and a full machine-readable copy. Free plan or paid, today or after a paid plan ends, export is never behind a paywall. Your plans are yours to take with you.
Deleted planbooks come back for 30 days
Delete a planbook, a class or a lesson and it waits in the trash for 30 days before it is gone. Restore it with one click. If a paid plan ends, nothing is deleted: extra planbooks become read-only until you upgrade again or choose which to keep.
Account deletion when you ask
Ask us to delete your account and we delete it, with every planbook you own, 30 days later. The wait is there so a mistake or a change of heart costs nothing; we email you when you ask, and you can cancel any time before then. The nightly copies that still hold it expire on their own 30 days after that.
Where your data lives
TeachDay runs on servers in the United States. Your planbooks, schedules and attached files are stored there, and travel only over encrypted connections. We store lesson plans and schedules, not students: no rosters, no grades, no student accounts.
Who helps us run it
Every company that handles your data on our behalf, and what for. We will update this list before adding anyone.

If something goes wrong
We check that TeachDay is up every few minutes, and the status page shows the results. If an incident affects your data, we will tell you what happened, what it affected and what we did about it.
